About The Team
Speakeasy Studios is not merely a design and marketing firm that decorates and makes things look pretty. We are more of a strategic partner, and take pride in our ability to supply our clients with meaningful ideas and implementation. We believe strong design is an essential utility for doing business, but we also know that if that design isn’t put in the right place at the right time, it isn’t going to do any good. When you work with Speakeasy Studios, you work directly with the designer, the developer and the marketer. Your message isn’t lost through a receptionist, assistant, or intern. You speak directly to us, and we get it. It is that easy.
You can find Speakeasy Studios in the historic Loveland Feed and Grain building. By planting our roots in Loveland’s history, we feel a strong connection to our city and can continue to grow Loveland as a community with strong ties to the arts.

What is your role at Speakeasy? I'm the client marketing director, a lot of the project will start with me. I schedule meetings, do a lot of research, proposal writing, marketing plans, analyzing marketing efforts and always hunting for new opportunities.
What is your background & education? I went to school for graphic design, but really I thought about everything more in marketing terms. At all my places of employment I would join committees & learned other people's jobs. I eventually landed a marketing director job at Legendary Properties Sotheby's International Realty. This is where I was given the true opportunity to put ideas into action; I was trusted & given authority to run my department. I also was lucky enough to work with other rock stars at this luxury real estate company that had loads of marketing agency experience. I learned so much & have been growing on it since. So, more important than my school education is my real life experiences that I keep building on.
What is your personal philosophy? "I'm a great believer in luck, and I find the harder I work, the more I have of it." - Thomas Jefferson
If you had a superpower what would it be... and why? I want to stop time whenever I want. At first I thought it would be to not sleep anymore, so I can just do projects/hobbies/work… but to be able to stop time would really be best, use it when I need it. And really I like to sleep.
Likes: Hanging out with mini-me, my daughter, Samantha, Choice City Rebels - Roller Derby, Roller skating, skateboarding, Altered art projects, cowboy boots, & my co-workers.
Dislikes: wasted marketing efforts, grocery shopping, when people make a left turn onto Hwy 287 from 4th Street in Loveland & FedEx-Kinkos.

What is your role at Speakeasy? I am the main point of contact for most design needs - from branding to an initial website look, most of the design projects are filtered through my mind first. I also track all of the projects that come through the studio and handle the accounts payable and accounts receivable. So at any given time I am either super happy because I am doing what I love... being creative - or I am a tad grouchy because I am dabbling with the books.
What is your background & education? I have a BA in Visual Arts with an emphasis placed in Graphic Design from UNC. I also have over 10 years of design experience as a freelance designer and in the print communication fields, working for various newspapers as a designer and advertising consultant.
What is your personal philosophy? Marty Neumeier said it best,"The most innovative designers consciously reject the standard option box and cultivate an appetite for thinking wrong." I like to think wrong - it takes me places.
If you had a superpower what would it be... and why? Mind-reading. So when I hear... "I don't know what I want, but I know what I don't want..." I will be able to read their minds - because really they know what they want, just can't quite put those wants into words. I also think it would be pretty sweet to wiggle my nose and be on the beach with a margarita in hand at any given moment.
Likes: My little man - Conor, Delicious Audio Treats, Cupcakes and Sweet Design , Tom Waits and all his sparkle, typography, treadmills,
Dislikes: keming, treadmills (it's a love/hate relationship), Rod Stewart, folding laundry

What is your role at Speakeasy? I build internet. My job is to take site designs and turn them to living, breathing web sites, From javascript to actionscript; you want it? You got it…just don't ask for lots of script fonts on your site please.
What is your background & education? I have a Bachelor's Degree in Interactive Digital Media from Northwest Missouri State University. Since graduation I've worked in organic produce, photography, video editing, and stand-up comedy (at least the first three were true)
What is your personal philosophy? A wise woman once told me something like "Forget 'em if they can't take a joke." That woman was my mother and I listen to every word she says
If you had a superpower what would it be... and why? I saw a hero on television that could absorb knowledge instantaneously, that'd be pretty rad. Either that or Superman-like flight, it'd cut down on travel costs and totally impress the ladies.
Likes: skiing, ski films, fair trade coffee, cooking, javascript libraries, camping & hiking, good music, the internet, travel, online television, podcasts,
Dislikes: doing laundry, bad typography, fast food, heavy traffic
